Hyoscine butylbromide
Indications/Uses
Acute spasm; renal or biliary colic; radiology for differential diagnosis of obstruction; reduce spasm & pain in pyelography & diagnostic procedures eg, gastroduodenal endoscopy.
Dosage/Direction for Use
20 mg IM or IV repeated after 30 min. Max: 100 mg/day.
Contraindications
Glaucoma.
Special Precautions
Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Dry mouth, temporary loss of accommodation, tachycardia.
